Many people complain about Yahoo ignoring their submissions. Unfortunately, it’s rare that they ever tell you why you were not added to their directory. It may be that they never bothered to look at your site, or it may be that you did something wrong.
Here’s an important tip sent in by Steve Mays of Credit Solutions
Funding Corp at http://creditsolutionsfunding.com The e-mail was sent to him by someone from Yahoo’s technical support:

So don’t forget to put that address on your site and make it readily accessible! I’m amazed at how many small businesses as well as big corporations bury their contact information or omit it entirely from their Web sites. This is a big mistake not only from a marketing standpoint, but in regard to getting listed with the most popular directory in the world, Yahoo.
Even if you’re a home business working out of your garage, include a full address and phone number. If you’re not comfortable advertising your physical address on the Web, get a PO Box from the post office and use that! The e-mail above implies listing only a city and state may be sufficient. However, I’d recommend you include the full contact information and have a link to it from your home page if it’s not on the home page itself. This not only adds credibility to your Web site, but also ensures directories like Yahoo will be able to find it.
