Hook Your Audience
Here’s a "power tip" you’ll want to incorporate into your Web site: The first few sentences of your main page must sell your service. The reason is quite simple.
If the two or three line description that the search engine extracts from the top of your page (or your meta description tag) sounds dull or uninviting, prospective visitors to the site will scroll right past you and choose a link that appears more interesting. Your position accounts for only part of the puzzle in grabbing that traffic. The summary description that is generally extracted from your Meta Description tag or from the first part of your page is crucial to the effectiveness of your search position.
